The Secret Behind Our Existence!

What is the secret behind our existence? I am pretty sure all of us have asked this question one time or the other in our lives. Recently, I went through a video about how our Universe was formed. In that video, it said that "Big Bang" was the beginning of our Universe, which I found to be very atrocious! How can such beautiful creations be formed of only dust?! So, I turned towards our scriptures!

In my recent past, I have gained a huge interest in reading about our Hindu Scriptures! I have read 7 Puranas: Brahma, Kurma, Varaha, Shiva, Vishnu, Vamana and Srimad Bhagavatam, 4 Upanishands: Isha, Kena, Aitareya and Katha and the Bhagavad Gita. All of these scriptures have the answers to not only how the Universe was formed but also how it will exist and how it will get destroyed! But I do not want to talk about the formation or the destruction of our Universe, but want to talk about something more important!

The most powerful lesson that I have learnt from these scriptures is that "the life that we are living right now i.e, this life where we just do our everyday routine: Eat, Sleep,Work Repeat is just an illusion". Yup, I repeat this life is just an ILLUSION(Maya). We must all realize that we are pure consciousness,ever free, without name,form and unconditional. We are all one and the same consciousness! Only our forms are different and that is because of this illusion. Once, we realize this oneness of all beings how can we love or hate anything because, everything is us and we are everything! If I hurt you, I hurt myself!

In order to know our true identity, we need to concentrate on the Self which is located in the cavity of our heart and we need to surrender our six inner enemies (Anger, Lust, Greed, Pride, Attachment and Envy). Once we do this, we get to know the true nature of our being and hence, we get freed from all our sufferings! Once this Self reveals itself to us, it gets merged in the Cosmic Self and we are liberated and this is the ultimate goal of our existence.

In conclusion, I would like to say that the life we are living in right now, this rat race, is just an illusion. Instead of taking part in this rat race, concentrate on the Self and try to reach the goal that the Creator has designed for us!

The Fight Between Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma and Manifestation Of Lord Shiva As A Column Of Fire

The Story Of Samudra Manthan To Obtain The Nectar Of Immortality

Let me tell you a story about how the Gods and the Demons churned the milky ocean to obtain the Nectar Of Immortality !     Once upon a time, due to the curse of a Sage named Durvasa , the Gods had lost their strength and lost the battle with the Demons. The Gods then went to Lord Vishnu for help. Lord Vishnu who always helps his devotees, instructed them to go to the Demons and ask them to join them to obtain the Nectar Of Immortality by churning the milky ocean and share it among themselves. Lord Vishnu told the Gods that he would make sure that only the Gods get the nectar. When the Gods approached the Demons, they readily agreed since they were also eager to become immortal!
